Ways to cut cost on wedding flowers

You might be discovering that the cost of a wedding soon adds up! But here at Roots Floral Designs we have a few ideas on how to cut the cost of your wedding flowers.

Use seasonal flowers and be flexible on what flowers you choose and you will always get a good price. Talk to your florist about what flowers are showy and more cost effective. Some flowers are more expensive, but you may only need a few stems to create something impressive.

Don’t scrimp on your bridal bouquet, but you can always cut the cost on the bridesmaids bouquets. Think about using a fuller flower with multiple heads or keep it simple by using a few stems.

Reuse bridesmaid’s arrangements for table centres or top tables, or reuse the bridal bouquet for the cake table. Leave vases with water in so the bouquets can just be placed (obviously you will need to put someone in charge).

Think about recycled jam jars, bottles or bake bean tins, think outside the box, anything that can hold water can be used as a vase.

Use small flowers or plants as centrepieces and give them out as favours to the guests.

Be open-minded and talk to your florist on ways to keep the cost down. A good florist will have lots of ideas and know what flowers are more cost effective for that time of year.
